Wear Resistance Al2O3 Optical H9 Glass Lens Protector
Wear Resistance Turtle Shaped Sapphire Lens Protector Len for Optical
Description of sapphire crystal:
Sapphire is the general name for corundum stones of all colors except the red ruby. Its main ingredient is alumina (AI2O3). Sapphire glass is a synthetic sapphire,Gem-grade sapphires can be easily and cheaply produced in the laboratory and have the same chemical composition and physical properties as natural gems.
Synthetic sapphire is transparent single crystal 99.99% pure Al2O3 that exhibits a unique combination of physical, chemical, electrical and optical properties: high thermal conductivity, high strength and scratch resistance, hardness (9 on the Mohs scale), transparent in wide range of wavelength, chemical inertness.
High crystal perfection, low reactivity, and appropriate unit cell size make sapphire an excellent substrate in the semiconductor industry for blue light-emitting diodes (LED).
Optical crystals are used as view ports to protect other components within an optical assembly, instrument, or laser.
