Production description:
Sapphire Windows are manufactured from single crystal sapphire, making them ideal for demanding applications (such as laser systems) because of their extreme surface hardness, high thermal conductivity, high dielectric constant and resistance to common chemical acids and alkalis.
Sapphire is the general name for corundum stones of all colors except the red ruby. Its main ingredient is alumina (AI2O3). Sapphire glass is a synthetic sapphire,Gem-grade sapphires can be easily and cheaply produced in the laboratory and have the same chemical composition and physical properties as natural gems.

Our Sapphire Precision Windows are available in 1/2" and 1" diameters. The uncoated versions are designed for applications in the 150 nm - 4.5 μm range. AR-coated windows feature anti-reflective coatings designed for 1.65 µm - 3.0 µm (-D) or 2.0 µm - 5.0 µm (-E1) on both sides.
