UV Fused Silica Aspheric Lens ,High-NA Aspheres: CNC Polished, UV Fused Silica Substrate
MAP OPTICS' CNC-Polished Aspheric Lenses are ground and polished by a computer-controlled, iterative process that produces lenses with better sag (surface profile) deviation, surface irregularity, surface flatness, and focal length deviation than molded aspheric lenses. CNC polishing prevents ridges, crests, and other surface imperfections that are characteristic of molded lenses. As a result, the convex surface of the aspheres sold on conforms to the reference surface profile within ±2.0 µm at all points along the surface.

AR Coating Options
While our uncoated UV fused silica lenses offer near-diffraction-limited performance over a wide spectral range, improved transmission can be gained by choosing a lens with an antireflective coating.
Optical Performance Verification
Each lens undergoes a rigorous verification procedure. Our metrology lab uses Zygo Verifire™, NewView™, and GPI™ interferometers to generate a three-dimensional map of the lens's optical surfaces in a contact-free geometry. In addition, a PGI Dimension 5XL profilometer allows for contact measurements of optics. These capabilities allow us to measure and maintain our specifications with far greater confidence than would otherwise be possible. Map Optical offers non-coated and coated anti-reflection lenses with aspheric surfaces.
Antireflection membrane options include IR1, NIR2.
Zinc selenide based sheets are suitable for infrared applications.
