Thermal Vapor Recompression Evaporator Overview
Our factory offers custom-designed thermal vapor recompression (TVR) evaporation systems at competitive prices. TVR evaporators utilize thermocompressor technology to significantly reduce steam consumption per pound of evaporation, delivering substantial energy savings and operational cost reductions.
Operating Principle
Thermal vapor recompression systems employ a thermocompressor to entrain and compress water vapor from the evaporator using high-pressure steam. This compressed vapor is then condensed in the evaporator heat exchanger, creating an intermediate pressure between the motive steam and water vapor. The thermocompressor operates similarly to steam-jet air ejectors used in vacuum maintenance.
While only a portion of the vapor can be compressed, the remaining vapor is condensed in subsequent effect heat exchangers or condensers. TVR technology is typically applied to single-effect evaporators or the first effect of multi-effect systems, particularly effective for liquids with low boiling-point rise and moderate heat exchanger temperature differentials.
