Raw salt is fed to the hopper from stockyard or directly from dumpers. Magnetic separators remove iron contaminants before material proceeds to wet mill.
Wet mill controls product size and removes soluble impurities using brine. Salt slurry undergoes primary and main elutriation for thorough purification.
Salt slurry is conditioned in thickener for centrifuge processing, with secondary elutriation ensuring optimal purity levels.
Salt cake from centrifuge receives iodine and anti-caking additives before transfer to fluid bed dryer.
Fluid bed dryer provides efficient drying with integrated heating and cooling sections. Hot air achieves required dryness while ambient air cools the final product.
Dry salt undergoes screening and conditioning in blender to ensure free-flowing properties and required composition specifications.
Final product is stored in silos and packed in quantities ranging from 1 kg to 50 kg bulk packaging as required.
Clear brine overflow is recycled through clarifier and brine tank system. Sludge is properly disposed while run-off brine is recovered and returned to the process.
