Square stretches are similar to circular stretches in that they have four 90-degree rounded corners. Because of the 90 degree fillet, the material is squeezed as the metal flows towards the fillet. At the straight edge of the square, it is simply curved and straightened. The flow resistance at the straight edge of the square is much smaller than at the rounded corners.

When choosing an oil, two factors should be considered.

1) An oil film should be provided to prevent scratches and reduce friction.

2) And after the completion of the deep drawing operation, to be able to facilitate and completely clear.

May include chlorinated or vulcanized oils or waxes, heavy duty emulsions, or deep drawn soap solutions
