Frequently Asked Questions
Q: How to avoid possible aggregation of magnetic beads during storage or use?
A: Store beads at 2-8°C and avoid contamination or drying. Magnetic beads aggregation at low pH elution buffer is normal and doesn't affect performance. Adding 0.1% nonionic detergent (NP-40, Tween-20 or Triton X-100) to buffers effectively prevents aggregation.
Q: Magnetic beads appear agglomeration during use?
A: Agglomeration typically occurs from prolonged magnetic field exposure. Use 2-minute ultrasonic water bath treatment to disperse beads, but avoid this method until after elution to prevent antibody loss.
