Product Overview

BeaverBeads™ Protein A and Protein G are superparamagnetic beads covalently coated with recombinant Protein A or Protein G containing Fc binding domains. Designed for purification of monoclonal or polyclonal antibodies from cell lysate, blood plasma, ascites, and tissue culture supernatant, as well as antibody immobilization studies.

Skilled operators can complete antibody adsorption within 15 minutes and full antibody purification within 30 minutes. The product enables antibody fixation and related research applications.

Q: How to avoid possible aggregation of magnetic beads during storage or use?
Store beads at 2-8°C and avoid irreversible aggregation from contamination or drying. Magnetic bead aggregation in low pH elution buffer is normal and doesn't affect performance. Adding 0.1% (v/v) nonionic detergent (NP-40, Tween-20 or Triton X-100) to buffers effectively prevents aggregation. For beads in low pH elution, wash to neutral with buffers and process with 2-minute ultrasonic water bath to restore homogeneity without affecting antibody binding efficiency.
Q: How to solve magnetic bead adhesion to tube walls?
Use consumables with low adsorption rates. Adding 0.01%-0.1% (v/v) nonionic detergent (NP-40, Tween-20 or Triton X-100) to buffer solutions effectively reduces bead adhesion to tube walls.
