Stainless Steel M5 Self-Tapping Screws Zinc Plated Flat Head Pack of 100
Furniture Connecting Screws Hex Socket Countersunk Self-Tapping Zinc Coated DIY & OEM Different Colors
Reliable hex socket furniture screws for fast cabinet & flat-pack assembly. Self-tapping tip eliminates pre-drilling. Zinc plated carbon steel. M4-M6 sizes. Flush finish & high clamp force.
Simplify furniture assembly with our **Hex Socket Countersunk Self-Tapping Furniture Connecting Screws**. Designed specifically for joining wood panels, particleboard, MDF, and engineered woods, these screws feature a sharp **self-tapping point** that eliminates the need for pre-drilling pilot holes, saving significant time and effort. The **hex socket drive (Allen key)** allows for high torque application without cam-out, ensuring tight joints. The **82° countersunk head** sits perfectly flush with the material surface for a clean, professional look. Zinc plating provides essential corrosion resistance for indoor furniture.

Primary Uses & Applications:
* Flat-pack furniture assembly (IKEA-style cabinets, shelves, wardrobes).
* Kitchen cabinet construction & installation.
* Office furniture (desks, partitions, storage units).
* Joining engineered wood panels (Particleboard, MDF, Plywood, Chipboard).
* DIY furniture projects and home repairs.
* Connecting hinges, brackets, and hardware to wood substrates.
Surface Treatment/Finishes:
* **Zinc Plating (Zn):** Standard Yellow Chromate (most common) or White Chromate (for a brighter finish). Offers good basic corrosion protection for indoor environments, preventing rust during storage and use. Meets RoHS standards.
How to Use:
1. **Align Parts:** Position the furniture panels accurately.
2. **Insert Screw:** Place the screw tip directly on the surface of the top panel where it meets the edge/face of the joining panel. The screw will typically penetrate both parts.
3. **Drive Screw:** Insert the **correct size hex key** (e.g., H4 for M5 screw) into the socket. Apply firm, steady pressure and drive the screw at a **90° angle**. The self-tapping point will cut its own thread into the material.
4. **Tighten:** Continue driving until the countersunk head sits **completely flush** with the surface of the top panel. Avoid over-tightening which can strip the material or damage the socket.
5. **(Optional for Hardwood/Thick Panels):** A very small pilot hole (diameter < screw core) can be used in very dense woods or near panel edges to prevent splitting, though often not needed.
