Aluminum Alloy LY12

This is a high-strength hard aluminum, heat treatment can be strengthened, plasticity in the annealed and just quenched state is medium, spot welding weldability is good, gas welding and argon arc welding with the formation of intergranular cracking tendency; alloy in the quenching and cold hardening of its machinability is still good, annealed machinability is low; corrosion resistance is not high, often using anodic oxidation treatment and painting methods or surface cladding aluminum layer to improve its corrosion resistance.
