Overview

Materials

The hardness of 6063 aluminum is between 8-12HW, tensile strength ≥ 205mpa, elongation stress ≥ 170mpa and elongation ≥ 7%. This is still medium in the 6 series aluminum alloy.

The corrosion resistance of 6063 aluminum is excellent, and its oxidation resistance can be greatly exerted if it undergoes surface treatment. It can be used in harsh outdoor environment for more than 25 years.
The plasticity of 6063 aluminum is also relatively strong, and the extrusion molding is good, so 6063 grade is the main grade of extrusion profile. Construction profiles and industrial aluminum profiles are almost all using 6063 aluminum.

Surface Treatment

Black Anodized

Anodizing is commonly used for surface treatment of aluminum alloys. It uses electrochemical principles to produce a transparent water-based Al2O3 (aluminum oxide) film on the surface of aluminum and aluminum alloys. It is then dyed and sealed. Black is a very common and mature process for anodic dyeing. The anodic oxide film has excellent wear resistance and corrosion resistance.
