C45

C45(1.0503) is a high strength medium carbon high quality steel, because of poor hardenability, generally used in the normalized state, mechanical properties required for higher, the use of tempering treatment. Cold deformation plasticity is medium, annealed and normalized machinability is better than the tempered. Used in the manufacture of parts with high strength requirements, such as gears, shafts, piston pins, etc. and mechanical processing parts, forgings, stampings and bolts, nuts, pipe joints that are not subjected to large forces.
