Installation Guidelines
Important Safety Precautions
- Any unfolded rear spring must be refolded before vehicle installation
- Refolding procedure only applies to springs never supporting vehicle weight while incorrectly folded
- Incorrectly folded springs found during inspection or after use must be replaced with new units
- Do not inflate air springs collapsed while uninflated from rebound hanging position
- When installing new air springs, avoid applying suspension load until proper inflation
- Always inspect air spring shape after inflation in hanging position
Removal Procedure
The vehicle must be positioned on a suitable lifting device prior to deflating the air suspension system. With the vehicle in NEUTRAL, position on a hoist until wheel and tire assemblies are slightly above ground.
- Using the scan tool, vent the air springs
- Remove the air spring retainer
- Detach the air spring from the rear axle
- Disconnect the air spring solenoid electrical connector
- Compress the quick connect locking ring and pull out the air tube
- Remove the air spring
