Push back rack systems provide high-density storage similar to drive-in racks, but with superior selectivity for multiple SKU environments. The innovative wheeled carts on inclined rails enable dynamic storage and retrieval of each pallet position, eliminating the need for forklifts to enter the rack system and significantly reducing operational time.
How Push Back Rack Systems Work
The first pallet is loaded onto the top carts in each lane. Subsequent pallets push forward, with each new pallet resting on the next cart down the inclined rails. This process continues until the storage lane reaches full capacity. During unloading, the last pallet loaded is retrieved first, with remaining pallets automatically rolling forward to the picking face.
