Beam Capacity Design
Beam capacity refers to the combined capacity of paired beams working together in each storage bay. Under vertical pressure and horizontal tension, beams support pallet weight and transfer loads to upright frames. Beam spacing between levels is adjustable to accommodate various pallet load sizes.
Each beam level typically accommodates two pallet positions. The total weight of both pallet loads must not exceed the beam capacity at each level.
Upright Frame Capacity
Each storage bay unit consists of two upright frames connected by beams, forming the fundamental storage structure. When cargo is loaded onto beams, uprights immediately bear the compression force transferred from products and related components.
The capacity each upright supports is determined by load weight and beam length. "Deflection" measures the vertical beam deviation distance under load conditions.
