Beam System Design
Beam capacity specifications refer to paired beam performance since they function together within each storage bay. Under vertical pressure and horizontal tension, beams support pallet weight and transfer loads to upright frames. Beam spacing between layers is adjustable to accommodate various pallet load dimensions.
Each beam level typically accommodates two pallet positions. In this configuration, the combined weight of both pallet loads must not exceed the beam capacity at each level.
Allowable Beam Deflection Formula
Upright Frame System
Each storage bay unit consists of two upright frames positioned left and right, connected by beams to form the fundamental storage structure. When cargo is loaded onto beams, uprights immediately bear the compressive forces transferred from products and associated components.
Individual upright capacity is determined by load weight and beam length specifications. The term "Deflection" measures vertical beam deviation distance under load conditions.

- First-level loads are typically placed directly on the ground for cost optimization
- All load capacity specifications refer to static load conditions
- Both beam and upright maximum load capacities must be satisfied
- All rack systems must be installed on floors meeting specific project requirements
- Complete rack assemblies including frames, beams, and accessories require proper installation
- Capacity redundancy should be maintained for long-term operational safety and potential damage mitigation
