Ferro silicon Description
Ferro silicon is iron alloy composed of iron and silicon.With coke,scrap,steel,quartz(or silica) as raw material,ferro silicon is made of electric furnace.Because silicon is easy to combine with oxygen to form silicon dioxide,so ferro silicon also can be used in steel making as deoxidizer.At the same time , ferro silicon also can be used as an alloy element joining agent ,widely used in low alloy structural steel, spring steel ,bearing steel ,heat-resistant steel and electrical silicon steel.Silicon the ferro alloy production and chemical industry,commonly used as a reducing agent.
