Factors Affecting Titanium Recovery in High-Titanium Ferrotitanium Smelting
Titanium recovery increases with increasing unit heat input, but decreases when the heat input reaches 3250 kJ/kg.
Under a constant unit heat input, titanium recovery increases with increasing lime addition, but excessive lime addition reduces the slag melting point and reaction temperature, thereby decreasing titanium recovery.
Top firing can achieve a titanium recovery rate of over 73%.
Finer aluminum particles result in higher titanium recovery. Larger aluminum particles not only reduce recovery but also increase the aluminum content in the alloy.
