Description

Carbon additive, also known as low-sulfur and micro-nitrogen carbon additive, is an auxiliary material used in the steelmaking and casting industries for carbon addition, desulfurization and other purposes. It is also used in other industries, such as being used as a friction material in brake pads and as an added raw material in the production of electrode paste. Currently, the carbon additive mainly refers to graphitized petroleum coke after graphitization of petroleum coke.

 
Petroleum coke is loaded into a graphitization furnace through a special charging furnace process, and the graphitization furnace is supplied with electricity according to a certain power supply curve. Under a high-temperature environment, a series of physical and chemical reactions occur in the petroleum coke, and impurities such as sulfur, moisture, volatile matter, and ash are discharged. Then it is cooled, crushed and screened according to the particle size requirement, and packaged and stored in the warehouse.
