Ferrochrome refining method

Vacuum solid decarburization method refining uses finely ground high carbon ferrochrome as raw material. A part of the finely ground high carbon ferrochrome is oxidized and roasted as an oxidant, and water glass or other adhesives are added to press it into a mass. After low-temperature drying, it is heated and reduced for 35 to 50 hours in a car-bottom vacuum furnace at a vacuum degree of 0.5 to 10 mm Hg and a temperature of 1300 to 1400°C. A micro-carbon ferrochrome with a carbon content of less than 0.03% or even less than 0.01% can be obtained.
