Micro carbon ferrochrome: Micro carbon ferrochrome is mainly used to produce stainless steel, acid-resistant steel and heat-resistant steel. There are two methods for smelting low-carbon ferrochrome: electric silicon thermal method and hot exchange method. The electric silicon thermal method for smelting low-carbon ferrochrome is to add chromium ore, silicon-chromium alloy and lime into an electric arc furnace. The electric silicon thermal method for smelting low-carbon ferrochrome mainly relies on electric heat to melt the charge, and the silicon in the silicon-chromium alloy reduces the Cr2O3 in the chromium ore. The hot exchange method for smelting low-carbon ferrochrome is to heat the pre-melted chromium ore-lime melt and the silicon-chromium alloy in the iron ladle outside the furnace to produce low-carbon ferrochrome.
