1. After opening the tap hole, as the molten iron gradually flows out, the distance between the electrode and the surface of the molten iron in the brain will increase, the resistance will increase, and the electrode will drop significantly, which is conducive to the electrode's tea, thereby creating favorable conditions for the next step of expanding the crucible and increasing the bridge furnace temperature.
2. The electrode emits electrons to generate an arc, which has a jet pressure. The lower the electrode is, the greater its pressure is. This opportunity can also promote the rapid outflow of molten iron and shorten the time of tapping.
3. As the tapping proceeds, the crucible will slowly become empty. The electrode should be slowly lowered to prevent the material from collapsing. Once the operation is improper, the material will collapse during the tapping process, which will delay the tapping time. As the molten iron flows out and the material surface drops, the top of the crucible will gradually press down. At this time, the electrode will also slowly drop, forcing the tapping time to be reduced.
