Ferro silicon Description
Ferro silicon alloy is mainly used in the manufacture of steel and cast iron and produce fine quality steel. Ferro Silicon is used to remove oxygen from steel for better quality and durability. Our clients also use Ferro Silicon to manufacture pre-alloys like Magnesium Ferro Silicon (FeSiMg). It is used to modify melted malleable iron.

Ferro silicon Application
Ferrosilicon is often used as a deoxidizer in steelmaking because silicon and oxygen are easily oxidized to form silicon dioxide. At the same time, because of the large amount of heat released during the formation of SiO2, it is also beneficial to increase the temperature of molten steel while deoxidizing. At the same time, ferrosilicon can also be used as an additive of alloy elements, and widely used in low alloy structural steel, spring steel, bearing steel, heat-resistant steel and electrical silicon steel, ferrosilicon in ferroalloy production and chemical industry, often used as reducing agent.
