  Ferro silicon alloy is a kind of ferro alloy which composed of iron and silicon . Ferrosilicon is a silicon alloy made by smelting iron in an electric furnace with coke, scrap steel, and quartz (or silicon dioxide) as raw materials. Silicon and Oxygen have a strong affinity. meanwhile low carbon content in high silicon ferrosilicon. Therefore, high-silicon ferrosilicon (or silicon alloy) is a reducing agent commonly used in the production of low-carbon ferroalloys in the ferroalloy industry.

1. Low aluminium Ferro silicon is often used as deoxidizer in steel- making.

2. Low AI Ferrosilicon also can be used as alloy elements join agent, which is widely used in low alloy steel, non-ferrous metal, bearing steel, heat-resistant steels and electrician silicon-steel.

3. It can be used as a reductant in ferroalloy(SiMn) production and chemical industry.

4. In iron industry it can be used as inoculant and nodulizer.
