Ferro silicon inoculant is made by electric furnace with the raw materials coke, quartz (or silica) and iron scrap. Because silicon and oxygen are easily compound into SiO2, ferro silicon is often used as deoxidizer in steelmaking.

Application of ferrosilicon powder:

1. Used as a deoxidizer and alloying agent in the steel industry

2. As a nucleating agent and spheroidizing agent in the steel industry

3. Used as a reducing agent in the production of ferroalloys

4. The ground or treated atomized ferrosilicon powder can be used as the suspended phase in the mineral processing industry.
