Ferro silicon Description
Ferro silicon alloy is composed of ferro and silicon .In ductile iron production, ferrosilicon inoculants is a kind of important graphite precipitation (help) and spheroidizing agent. Used as a reductant in ferroalloy production. Not only the chemical affinity between silicon and oxygen is very strong, and the carbon content of high silicon ferrosilicon is very low. So high silicon ferrosilicon (or silicon alloy) is in ferroalloy industry are frequently used in low-carbon ferroalloy production a reducing agent.
Ferro Silicon Application
1. Ferrosilicon is used as deoxidizer and alloy agent In the steelmaking industry.
2. Ferrosilicon is used as inoculant and spheroidizing agent in cast iron industry.
3. Ferrosilicon is used as reducing agent in alloy production.
