Ferro Sillicon Slag Description
Silicon metal slag (also called silicon metal dross or silicon metal scrap) is a by-product in the production of high-purity silicon metal. The surface of molten silicon is covered with slag containing Fe, Al, Ca and other impurities, and silicon slag products with different silicon contents are generated through the density separator.
Silicon Slag Feature
1. Similar to silicon metal, silicon slag is used as a deoxidizer for steel making.
2. It is a good substitute for silicon metal in aluminium alloy which has advantage in reducing the making cost.
3. The silicon slag is much cheaper than purity silicon metal, and has many industrial applications.
4. Low-cost raw materials for the production of organosilyl derivatives and silicone products.
