Ferro Sillicon Slag Description
Ferrosilicon slag is one of the main additives for smelting pig iron and casting iron. It is a kind of raw material with relatively good performance in price. Ferrosilicon slag can increase the temperature of molten iron and facilitate the discharge of steel slag. The silicon iron slag of our company has different grades with silicon content from30 to 62, we can produce according to customer requirements.
Ferrosilicon Slag Use
Ferrosilicon slag is also used as an alloy agent in steelmaking. Adding a certain amount of silicon to steel can significantly improve the strength, hardness and elasticity of steel and improve the quality of steel. Ferro-silicon slag can be used as a reducing agent to produce low carbon ferroalloy in ferroalloy industry, and ferro-silicon salg can be used as an inbreeding agent for ductile iron when added to cast iron.Moreover, it can prevent the formation of carbide and promote the precipitation and spheroidizat.
