Silicon Metal Description
Silicon Metal is mostly used as an alloying agent in the aluminium industry due to its ability to increase the strength of aluminium. Adding Silicon Metal to aluminium alloys makes them strong and light. As a result they are increasingly used in the automotive industry to replace heavier cast iron components. The main Silicon Metal grades are 441, 553, 3303, and 2202.

1. Silicon metal is used in aluminum and its alloys to increase the fluidity and tenacity ,
making it enjoy good cast ability and weld ability
2. Silicon metal is used in manufacturing a number of organic chemicals such as silicones, resins, and lubricants.
3. Silicon metal is used in producing monocrystalline and polycrystalline silicon of
high purity for electronic parts.
