Rare earth magnesium ferrosilicon alloy refers to an alloy formed by melting ferrosilicon, calcium, magnesium, rare earth, etc. It is a good nodularizer with strong deoxidation and desulfurization effects. Ferrosilicon, rare earth ores, and metal magnesium are the main raw materials for the production of rare earth magnesium ferrosilicon alloys. The production of rare earth magnesium ferrosilicon alloy is carried out in submerged arc furnace, which consumes a lot of power, and can also be produced in intermediate frequency furnace.​
