Fused Silica/Quartz material have high temperature resistance, low expansion coefficient, heat shock resistance, good chemical stability and electrical insulation properties, and can transmit ultraviolet and infrared rays.
The fused silica/quartz used to make optical components can be divided into three grades according to spectrum:
