Manufactured by slitting and stretching metal plate into an open diamond mesh pattern, expanded metal grating creates a strong, durable, lightweight walking surface. The high percentage of open area allows excellent passage of heat and light to surfaces above and below.
The angular strand position and bond structure make expanded metal grating stronger in deflection than the original steel plate. The strand junctions form a ridged surface that enhances traction and slip resistance.
