Electric winch can be vertical lift, horizontal or tilt pull heavy objects. Electric winch consists of motor, coupling, brake, gear box and drum. They are installed together on the rack. Wire rope, electric control box, hook drum and so on can be added as required
The role of winch in offshore oil operations
In the process of drilling, the drilling tool is suspended and sent into the drill string and drill bit to control the weight on bit.
Drilling tools and casing are run in tripping operation
The cat head mechanism of the winch is used to tighten and unload the drill wire to lift heavy objects.
