1. It has specifically groove to make wire rope spooling orderly and uniform strength on every layer.

2. It can be calculated the exact forces that the rope imposed on the drum.

3. The spooling is totally under control,which prevents lower layers being crushed or pinched by upper layers

4. With the groove,the continuous groove in the drum is parallel to the flange except for two crossover points on each Revelution where the groove moves across the drum half a pitch to give a pull pitch of movement for each pitch.
