Product Description

Drum is one of the important parts of the crane,it is used to wind the wire rope in the lifting mechanism or traction mechanism, the driving force provided by the driving device to the wire rope, and the rotary movement of the driving device into the required linear movement.

The drum used on the crane is mostly cylindrical. At both ends of the drum, most of the plate support, a hole in the middle of the plate, there is a shaft in the middle, the shaft is divided into two kinds, one is through the long shaft, the other is a short shaft at both ends of the drum.

Drum according to the number of rope winding layer, divided into single layer winding and multi-layer winding two. The rope groove increases the contact area of the wire rope, ensures the orderly arrangement of the wire rope, prevents mutual friction, and improves the service life of the wire rope. Generally, the spiral rope groove is used for single-layer winding, and the LEbus rope groove is used for multi-layer winding.
