Overview

Spooling Concept

Spooling device is an important part of cable storage winch. The guide cables are arranged orderly on the drum of cable storage winch. It is mainly composed of screw, rope retractor and load-bearing beam. The screw of the cable drum and the cable setter rotates synchronously through the chain drive device. The screw is bi-directional thread and the lead is the diameter of the cable. The rope retractor consists of a small roller, a pulley baffle, a pulley and a slider nut, mounted on the bearing beam by a small roller. The rotation of the bi-directional screw causes the slider nut to move left and right along the axis of the screw with the retractor to guide the cable. In order to avoid bending deformation of the screw under excessive pressure, the load-bearing beam was analyzed by force and finite element method, and its strength and stiffness were calculated to meet the requirements.
