GENERAL PROPERTIES
Like all the other 300 series stainless steel, grade 310 belongs to the austenitic class of steels. Referred to as high temperature steel, the Stainless Steel 310 Seamless Pipe operates well at temperatures up to 2100°F. Not many steels are able to sustain themselves at a temperature as high as 2100°F. Generally, at elevated temperatures, metals react with oxygen present in the air and undergo a process known as oxidation. Oxidation of metals causes corrosion.
