CD (Capacitor Discharge) weld pins is one kinds of welding nails used for thermal insulation of a boiler in a power plant, which is used to fix the thermal insulation material. The nail is welded to the surface of the boiler in the power plant through a capacitive discharge welder, the thermal insulation material is installed on the welded nail, the thermal insulation material is fixed with self locking washers , and finally bent to cut off the excess nail tip, or locked on the top with a general cap to achieve  protective effect.

The CD weld pins are primarily designed as welded fasteners to secure blanket and board insulation to metal heating and air conditioning ducts, ovens, tanks and other hot or cold equipment.
