Capacitor Discharge Spot Weld Pins Product Information :
A specialty type of Capacitor Discharge (CD) pin, the Powerbase weld pin can be welded through mill scale,
rusted or painted surfaces, without having to grind/clean the base metal. After the powerbase weld pin is welded
to the surface, a self-locking washer is installed to secure the insulation.
We recommend Capacitor Discharge Pins for welding to clean surfaces. For difficult surfaces the “Power Base”
Weld Pin is designed to weld through paint and rust to eliminate grinding of the base metal. Both are available
in various diameters and lengths.

Application Of Capacitor Discharge Spot Weld Pins :
The CD copper coating weld pin is a capacitor discharge weld insulation fastener, these insulation weld pins
work with a stud welding machine, weld the pins on the sheet metal, then put the insulation material through
the weld pins, press a self locking washer or metal clips or dome caps onto the pin, bend over or clip off the
pin to finish fastening insulation installation. Weld nails are usually used shipping industry.
