Each 35mm fixing disc is designed for the fitting of all types of insulation board. Made from

galvanised steel these fixing discs are strong and corrosion resistant so ideal for holding all

types of insulation back to walls and onto ceilings.

The Advantages Of The Tile Backer Board Fixing Washer Discs

The washers are easy to fix and have been specially designed for use with our tile

backer boards in three specific ways.

1: The discs have a counter sunk mid-section to allow the screw head to pull into the board

but the outer rim of the disc to remain flush with the board surface. This is to maintain the flat

board surface ready for easy unhindered application of the subsequent layers.

2: The discs have a perforated surface to maintain maximum board surface exposure as

standard adhesives and plasters are not designed to be fixed to flat plastic or metal surfaces.

By perforating the fixing disk this allows the adhesive or plaster to adhere to the board surface

minimizing the risk of surface de-lamination or damage.

3: The discs are galvanized to protect them from corrosion and minimize any chance of

degradation over time.

Application Of The Insulation Board Fixing Washer Discs

Tile backer board fixing washer discs are used to fix tile backer boards to walls and floors.

We recommend that you use 12 discs per 1200 x 600mm insulation board.

This is merely a guide only. And depending on the type, thickness, sub surface and final

covering on the board. It is the installers responsibility to use the correct number of discs to

hold the board in place.
