Leaded brass
Lead brass: Property: Brass with lead added to a copper-zinc alloy. It can be divided into single-phase α lead brass and two-phase (α+β) lead brass according to zinc content. Single-phase alpha lead brass can only be cold rolled and hot extruded, commonly used 63Cu-34Zn-3Pb alloy, soft tensile strength up to 350MPa, elongation is 45%. With high strength and cold performance, excellent machinability, used for instruments and other mechanical instruments requiring high machinability parts. Two-phase (α+β) lead-brass can be hot rolled, hot extruded and cold, the typical alloy is 59Cu-40Zn-1Pb, in the temperature range of 550 ~ 650℃, has high strength and excellent cutting performance, soft tensile strength of 420MPa, elongation of 45%, is economic, common lead-brass. Used for making hot mine and cutting parts, screws, washers, bushings, nuts, bases, bearing retainers, etc
