Edible Oil Making Process

Before processing, the oil seeds need to be harvested, transported, rough-cleaned, dried and stored.

Pretreatment & Pressing

The pre-treatment section is the starting point for oil processing. According to the different characteristics of the oil crop, it is cleaned and de-mixed, and the moisture and temperature of the oil is adjusted to the best condition so that the processing conditions are optimal for subsequent processing.

Extraction

After passing through the pre-treatment, the oil is leached in the leaching line with solvents. The oil undergoes multiple washing in the leaching equipment to ensure that a reasonable amount of solvent is used to extract the maximum amount of oil.

Oil Refining

Refining, usually refers to the refining of the crude oil. The presence of impurities in the crude oil not only affects the use value and safe storage of the oil, but also makes further processing difficult. The purpose of refining is to remove the impurities that are harmful to food, storage and industrial production, and to obtain a finished oil.

Fractionation

Oil is a mixture made up of several glycerides. The process of separating fats and oils into two parts, solid and liquid, at a certain temperature is called fractionation. The purpose is 1. to develop the use of fats (margarine, shortening) 2. to improve the low temperature storage properties of liquid oils.
