Description

Fuel rail pressure sensor: Determines the fuel pressure in the line from the fuel pump to the engine. If the pressure is high enough, the pump can be temporarily shut down or at least slowed down until the pressure becomes low enough again that it needs to be turned back on. If this sensor doesn't work, your fuel pump may stay on when it's not needed, or off when it's needed, resulting in too much or not enough pressure to deliver the right amount of fuel to the engine. You just need the right amount of fuel pressure, otherwise your engine will not run smoothly due to the wrong air-fuel mixture.
