Tungsten alloy is used in many radiation-shielding applications including industrial, nuclear and medical. Because of its high density and high atomic number, is an effective construction material for shielding against gamma rays and x-rays. Lead and boron carbide can shield radiation too, but cannot perform as well as tungsten alloy.

Tungsten-nickel-copper/iron alloy is made of tungsten, nickel, copper/iron and other chemical elements in appropriate proportion. Alloys are mainly with over 85% tungsten and low amounts of nickel, copper, etc. The ratio of added nickel and copper is normally 3:2.WNiCu alloys are produced in processes of liquid phase sintering and added elements alloying, etc. Due to various characteristics and uses of the alloy, the compositions can be divided into main series of W-Ni-Fe, W-Ni-Cu, W-Co, W-WC-Cu, W-Ag, etc.

• Packing & shipping for tungsten heavy alloy:

Tungsten heavy alloy will be packed with kraft paper first to protect the surface.

To ensure the safety during transportation, products will be packed accordingly with exportable wooden box with foam sheet protection inside.

If customer has special packing requirments, we will try to meet them.
