There is growing concern among physicians, health professionals, and public safety officials regarding the many effects chemicals have on our children. Researchers suspect toxic chemicals play a role in the significant increase in childhood disorders.

The breathable crib mattress by U-micco has no fill or core. We removed everything and replaced it with the most organic ingredient possible – Air.

The U-micco breathable mattress meets and exceeds all crib mattress testing standards. No chemicals like flame retardants, adhesives, vinyl, polyurethane foam, perflourinated compounds and other questionable chemicals including waterproofing chemicals are used. Instead of being waterproof, liquids quickly pass through the surface. This feature keeps wet and pooled liquids away from your sleeping baby. No other crib mattress can make this claim.

With the U-micco breathable baby mattress, you never have to worry about your baby inhaling any unsafe chemicals. You never need to worry about the fill or core becoming contaminated with mold or pathogens. Your U-micco can be passed down for generations.

Washing the encasement:

1. Clean encasement only if soiled.

2. Unzip and remove from core.

3. Zip fully closed prior to wash + dry.

4. Machine wash in cold water with detergent.

5. Wash together with outer cover for a balanced load. Wash without any other laundry.

6. Dry immediately in dryer on tumble dry low heat setting, allowing to dry thoroughly. DO NOT leave damp from wash; DO NOT hang dry.

TIP: The encasement is made with natural Viscose material which may develop an odor if allowed to remain damp (like a wool sweater). To refresh, add 1/2 cup baking soda to the wash.

Washing the core:

1. For the really big mess or just for seasonal cleaning, the core can be washed whenever needed.

2. Wash in the shower with soap & cool water or rinse outside with a hose.

3. Shake excess water out of core and stand-up to dry.

4. Place in well ventilated area for faster drying.

5. Avoid drying in direct sunlight and do not use heating elements to speed the drying process.
