In a fabric dust collector, dust-laden gas is drawn through a breathable fabric, usually in the form of tubular bags of varying diameters and lengths, through which the gas passes through the fabric and retains the particles. During this process, the gas is filtered and the clean gas comes out of the dust collector/bag filter. The separation of solid particles from gases through textile filter media at very high temperatures is an essential part of industrial processes, helping to recover valuable materials and improve pollution control.

Good Chemical Resistance: Like glass itself, treated fiberglass fabric is highly resistant to attack by most chemicals.
Good Air Flow and Better Filtration: Different weaving patterns and textured filament yarn in weft improve filterability and reduce blocking.

Application:

Glass Fiber Filters - These are glass mat filters composed of 15–60 μm glass fibers with high porosity. These are the most commonly used filters in residential furnaces and air conditioning systems. They are low cost. Their purpose is to protect the system from debris that can damage air system components such as fans, motors, cooling coils, and heat exchangers.​
