Diammonium phosphate is an inorganic substance with molecular formula (NH4) 2HPO4 and molecular weight of 132.06. It is colorless, transparent monoclinic crystal .
Applications:
1. Used as analytical reagent, buffer and water softener;
2. It can be used as dry powder fire extinguishing agent and phosphorus for fluorescent lamp;
3. It is used for printing plate making, manufacturing of electronic tubes, ceramics and enamel, and biochemical treatment of wastewater;
4. Military industry is used as flame retardant for thermal insulation materials of rocket engine motors.
