High Strength UD Para Aramid Fiber Fabric Ballistic Fabric

1. Description:

Woven from either either virgin continuous filament yarn; spun regenerated discontinuous filament yarn; or high tenacity spun yarn.
They are non-flammable, do not drip or melt only carbonise once the temperature limit is exceeded. It is inherently fire resistant.
High tensile strength and abrasion resistance even at high temperatures.
Rated up to 300°C in optimum conditions
A polymer scrape (polyurethane or neoprene) can be added to the cloths to act as a weavelock to aid fabrication.
A soft and skin friendly cotton flannel can be laminated on one side for garment manufacture.

3. Main uses of aramid fabric:

It is particularly suitable for use against sparks and projected materials. On the other hand, its mechanical properties are inferior to a 100 % para- aramid fabric. It is mainly used in the manufacture of seats for the rail and air industries. An aluminium version is also available.
