Remote reservoir are designed a bigger oil reservoir to reduce heat built-up that will lead to shock fade. Another feature that is its adjustability of both rebound and compression (most only adjustability of compression). Design of tuned valving, can be tuned to softer or firmer, for 4x4 user carrying heavy loads and travel demanding terrain or on road drive.
