ASTM 16Mn Low Alloy Carbon Welded Rectangular Steel Tube/Pipe

16Mn is called low alloy high strength structural steel, belongs to carbon manganese steel, carbon content is about 0.16%. 16Mn steel has less alloy content and good weldability. It is generally not necessary to preheat before welding. However, because the hardening tendency of 16Mn steel is slightly greater than that of low carbon steel, preheating measures should be taken to prevent cold cracks when welding at low temperature or on structures with large rigidity and thickness.
